Potetea
- Their area is called the Potetanga.
- They prefer to live in the south of the planet.
- Adults have a white band on the back of their heads and orange bills and feet. They have black heads and throats. They have black eyes. Their flippers are black on top and white on the undersides.
- They like to travel, and they are the fastest swimmers.
- During deep dives, they reduce their heartbeat. They dive deeper than Kahurangi and Rahi.
- Although they are more sociable than the Rahi, they don't like enormous crowds.
- They like to eat koura rangi and uraura, and they eat less vegetables than Rahi or Kahurangi.
- They have pebble stone houses. The Rahi build their houses the furthest apart, then the Kahurangi, then the northern Potetea, then the southern Potetea.
- Their colonies are divided into clusters.
- Adults like to let their children chase them.
- Potetea children join creches, although they aren't as big as the Kingi and Ariki creches.
- Their children stay at home the longest of all the Kaiteri.
- Chicks have grey backs with white fronts. The youngest do not have a white band. They do have white cheeks and throats. Older children have dark cheeks and a white dot where the band will be. Even older children start growing a white band.
